FAQs

Can I use all-purpose flour instead of bread flour?

Yes. Bread flour gives a slightly chewier texture, but all-purpose flour still produces soft, fluffy bread.

Can I make this dairy-free?

Yes. Replace milk with water and butter with oil (same quantity).

Why didn’t my bread rise properly?

Common reasons include:

  • Old or inactive yeast
  • Water too hot or too cold
  • Not enough resting time in a warm place

Can I freeze the bread?

Yes. Slice it first, then freeze in an airtight bag for up to 2 months.

Can I make it sweeter?

Yes. Increase sugar to 20–25 g for a slightly sweeter, sandwich-style loaf.
